Thank you to everyone who commented on my previous post--I enjoyed reading your thoughts. Isn't it a blessing that on the Internet, those of us who may feel like odd balls in "real life" can find kindred spirits?
Today was just too beautiful to stay indoors--warm but not hot, sunny, and a lovely fresh breeze. The children and I went for a nature walk at our favourite place, which includes a visitors' centre with some small exhibits. We had a wonderful time (except for the mosquitoes--I have a giant bite now in the middle of my forehead, not very attractive). The air smelt of fresh green things growing, and spring blossoms. It was so enjoyable!
Since yesterday's post was void of photos, I thought I'd make up for it today with a whole bunch of them. :)
I hope everyone out there has a chance this weekend to get outdoors, and enjoy the lush beauty of June!
What beautiful pictures. I loved natural history museums when I was kid and I was just thinking the other day about how the internet allows so many of us who are rather introverted or just kind of different means to be social or find those similar to us.

What a beautiful spot. And a great way to spend some time.

What a special treat it is to have small children to help us "re-discover" the simple wonders of nature. How fortunate your children are to have you to share their discoveries with.
