For quite a while I was having great difficulties keeping my personal toiletries away from little fingers. My hairbrush was missing more often than it was found, and my skin cream got eaten more than once--good thing I use an all-natural cream!
My dear husband heard my complaints, and after disappearing into his workshop for a day or two he produced this useful little shelf:
Isn't it pretty? It's made of solid walnut. Now I can keep my important things up high where certain small people can't reach them. And my new jar of skin cream has remained uneaten. :)
He also made a drawer that can go in the lower section, but I opted to use it as an open shelf.
It's so nice to have a husband who can make things! I never would have found a solid wood shelf in a store, at least not one that I could afford.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Tomorrow, if I can manage it, I'll be back with another book review.
Laura,
Judging by the looks of things over here...you're already practicing a Leadership Education model!
And your shelf is beautiful!
Agrarian life is highly recommended in this educational style as well!
Have a great weekend!

That is a lovely shelf.
You're lucky your husband is so talented to make you such a beautiful item; that it also solves a problem for you is a bonus.

Hi Laura,
That is great - I know just what you mean about little ones getting up on the bathroom counter:)
We could use one of those. My husband's to-do list is soooo long at the moment, maybe I can score one at a yard sale.
Warm wishes for a beautiful day, Tonya
